Best in Show

The 2015 TCCS Best in Show winner was this 1955 Chevrolet Bel air, owned by Bill Myers of Rio Rico, AZ.

Myers, who grew up in Yuma, AZ, bought the car when he was a 15-year-old high school student. After getting a job with the Fish and Wildlife Deptartment, he was moving around the country so much, he brought the car back to Yuma, and left it with family. The Bel Air sat in his brother’s yard for decades, where it rusted.

Upon retirement in Rio Rico, Myers’ brother decided one day to drop the car off with its rightful owner. Myers then restored the car, but added a new Corvette engine, new leather interior, and new shimmering paint job.
